PIL actively implements the Child Labour Monitoring & Remediation System with the International Cocoa Initiative under the Nestlé Cocoa Plan. The programme identifies cases, supports school enrolment, sensitises communities and connects outcomes to FDEP.

The co-financed PIL anchor partnership sets measurable future targets for farm productivity, post-harvest quality and circular production. Dates below indicate planned milestones.
From November 2026
A target of 100,000 certified seedlings a year, training for 2,000 farmers, 120 youth nursery operators and 30 field agents.
Target: September 2027
Two solar-hybrid drying centres, 100 fermentation boxes and practical training designed to reduce post-harvest loss by 15% by 2028.
Pilot planned for 2027
A cocoa-shell organic-fertiliser pilot, production trials and field testing on 40 demonstration plots, followed by a market test with 200 farmers.

Supplier, farmer and origin information becomes part of the commercial record—not an afterthought.
